TRAVEL LIGHT / Travel checklist

Cross-border access: check the requirements first

Check the data rules before you travel, then test your target services after connecting. VPNTL brings device limits, routes and refund details together in one checklist to help you decide what fits your needs.

150+ routes

Checking connections during peak hours

Judge peak-hour performance on your usual network and during the hours you actually work. Open the sites you need, then check page loads, file transfers and sustained connections—connecting briefly does not prove long-term stability. VPNTL offers international routes to choose from. If things slow down, compare alternative regions and check your local network, background downloads and client rules. Keep a route that works for your everyday tasks instead of chasing test results; run another connection check before an important meeting or file submission.

  • 120+ countries / 150+ routes
  • Test during your usual hours

Anonymous service, no logs and account security

VPNTL follows an anonymous no-logs policy. Create an account with a username and password—no email required. Protect your account too: use a unique password and treat your subscription link like a credential. Don’t put it in public documents, group chats or screenshots. On public Wi-Fi, check website addresses and browser security warnings. Network acceleration does not replace a website’s own account protections or change how a service handles data. Before sharing sensitive information, review that service’s policies and decide what to upload.

Unlimited devices

Work and travel devices

Use a computer for work, a tablet for reading and other devices to check your travel plans—your subscription doesn’t need to be split by device count. VPNTL supports unlimited devices connected at the same time, across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux. Each device still needs its own client setup, subscription import and connection check. Review permissions and routing settings on every device. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data, so keep an eye on plan usage across them all. When adding a new device, verify it first, then work it into your daily routine.

International routes

AI websites, plugins and ongoing sessions

Your experience with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini depends on more than whether a page loads. Sign-in status, regional policies, account permissions and persistent connections can all affect how these tools work. After choosing a route, check that the tool allows use from your current environment, then test chats, file uploads and ongoing responses. IDE plugins and command-line tools may have separate network settings, so a working browser doesn’t mean the plugin is using the same connection. VPNTL’s international routes are designed to improve cross-border access; each tool sets its own availability, usage limits and risk controls. Switching routes won’t solve every issue.

  • 120+ countries / 150+ routes

Check access by region

Streaming regions and playback

Netflix and Disney+ libraries vary by region, account and licensing agreements. Seeing the home page doesn’t mean a specific title will play. Check which region offers the title, connect to a matching route, then test playback, seeking and longer viewing. If you see a region warning, review your account settings and the platform’s rules instead of repeatedly switching routes. VPNTL offers international route options but does not guarantee playback in every region. Check your remaining data before watching; video quality and viewing time affect usage.

Refund terms and how to evaluate the service

VPNTL offers 14-day no-questions-asked refunds. After choosing a plan, test it as soon as possible on your usual devices, network and target services—not just by checking the client’s connection indicator. Try work sites, AI chats and everyday streaming, and check that settings remain consistent when switching devices. To request a refund, submit a support ticket through the user panel; eligibility is subject to the Terms of Service. Review the price, data cycle and refund terms first to decide whether a monthly plan or data package suits your routine.

Popular regions and how to choose a route

Coverage across 120+ countries and 150+ routes. Check the target service’s regional requirements first, then test performance on your local network. Region names are a guide; see the user panel for current route details.

Choose your task, then choose a region

For research and work websites, start by testing a commonly used region. For services with regional restrictions, first check their supported regions and account requirements, then choose a matching exit location. If you change networks while traveling or living abroad, compare routes again. Geographic distance is only a rough guide, not a reliable predictor of performance; judge results by how the target site loads, uploads and maintains a connection.

The table below is a regional overview, not an inventory of every city or a list of guaranteed streaming results. Apart from the Tokyo, Japan connection preview above, available cities, route names and types are shown in the user panel. Visit the full routes page to learn how to match regions to your everyday needs.

Keep test conditions consistent

When comparing routes, use the same device, target page and similar conditions where possible. If every region has issues, check your local network, whether the client is running and whether the subscription has been imported. If only one target service reports an error, check your account permissions, service status and regional policies too. This helps distinguish connection issues from app issues, so you don’t assume every sign-in prompt is caused by the route.

The route status section below is provided by the page component for browsing route information. Its figures do not measure your complete experience from your device to a target website and do not guarantee service availability. Before important tasks, test again in the client and the app itself; don’t rely on a single figure in the list.

Check route selection and playback separately. If an app shows a regional warning, review the service’s rules first, then check the client’s exit location.

Monthly plans and data packages

Monthly plans start at ¥9.9/month. Choose based on how you use the service; you don’t have to start with the highest tier. For regular use, consider monthly data limits. For occasional use, check the data package’s use-until-depleted terms.

Everyday browsing

¥9.9/month

Includes 60GB, reset monthly on your activation date.

A good place to start if you mainly browse, check email and use web tools. If you often stream video or transfer large files, check actual usage in the panel to see how much data you need. Don’t treat a use-case label as a data estimate.

Work and streaming

¥18/month

Includes 250GB, reset monthly on your activation date.

A useful tier to compare if you use work tools and streaming services. Video quality, file sizes and device habits all affect data use, so track usage during your regular routine rather than extrapolating from a brief test.

Higher data needs

¥28/month

Includes 500GB, reset monthly on your activation date.

Worth comparing if you already know you need more data for transfers or streaming. A higher data allowance doesn’t change a target service’s account or regional requirements, and it won’t give every app the same experience. Test each service you rely on.

How monthly plan cycles work

Data resets monthly on your activation date. When you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days.

Monthly plans suit people who use the service regularly and are comfortable tracking usage by billing cycle. After activation, check the cycle and data details in the panel. There’s no device limit, but include usage from all your devices in the same data budget. If your needs change, review the upgrade charges before deciding whether to switch tiers.

Don’t compare plans by price alone. Consider how often you use the service, whether you regularly upload files and how much data streaming takes. The plans page lists the full terms so you can check the details before opening the panel.

Data packages for occasional use

¥158/300GB · ¥358/1000GB · ¥658/3000GB

  • Use until depleted; never expires
  • Unlimited devices
  • 14-day no-questions-asked refunds

Data packages suit people with an irregular schedule who want to plan around their remaining data. “Never expires” refers to the package validity period; data is still consumed, and service access requirements still apply. List your typical tasks before comparing a package with the monthly plan cycle.

FAQs before getting started

Check your account, data and connection separately. These answers are for anyone new to the service; see the quick-start guide and support pages for setup instructions.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email required. Create an account with a username and password. Keep your login details safe and use a unique password if possible. Your subscription link is also account information, so don’t share it publicly. After signing in, use the user panel to view your plan, get a client and access your subscription. This site explains the service and setup steps; manage your account and orders in the panel.

Does unlimited devices mean unlimited data?

No. Unlimited devices means there’s no limit on the number of devices connected at the same time; each plan still has a data allowance. Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. When using multiple devices, check that each has the subscription imported correctly and keep an eye on the data remaining in the panel.

Which should I choose: a monthly plan or a data package?

For regular use, compare the monthly plans; for occasional use, consider a data package. Packages cost ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. They can be used until depleted and never expire. Consider usage frequency and data consumption separately: occasional use doesn’t always mean low data use, and regular use doesn’t necessarily require the highest tier. Check the full terms on the plans page and in the panel.

Why do AI tools or videos still show errors when the client says it’s connected?

The client’s connection status only confirms that the connection step is complete; it doesn’t mean the target service’s account, regional or permission requirements are met. First check whether regular websites work, then review the target service’s message. AI plugins may need separate network settings, and streaming requires checking the specific title. If you need help, include your platform, the issue and the steps you’ve tried in a support ticket. Hide account details and subscription links in screenshots.

Where do I submit a refund request?

VPNTL offers 14-day no-questions-asked refunds. Submit a request through a support ticket in the user panel; eligibility is subject to the Terms of Service. Check your order and plan details first, then explain what you’re requesting to help the team process it. Refund requests and connection troubleshooting are separate processes—there’s no need to turn a simple request into a lengthy bug report.

When submitting a support ticket, include the error message and what you were doing. Don’t share sensitive information such as passwords or full subscription links in public discussions.

Client setup and security basics

Start with the issue on your current device. Setup guides cover how-to steps; buying guides help you compare options. For persistent AI connections and differences between web and API access, see the AI acceleration guide.

A guide’s verification steps are more useful than simply seeing a connected indicator. After importing your subscription, test it on the websites or apps you actually use.

Verify your setup before you travel

Network conditions can change when you travel, study abroad or live overseas. Before leaving, save your account details, get the client for your device from the panel and follow the quick-start guide to import your subscription link. Don’t stop at the setup screen: open a work site you use regularly, test services that require sign-in, and check sustained responses or file uploads. That way, once you arrive, it’s easier to tell whether an issue is with the local network, client or target app.

VPNTL provides subscriptions for cross-border access and network acceleration. Coverage, unlimited devices, monthly plans and data package terms are all factors you can check directly. App permissions, account regions and local networks vary, so test the experience for your own use case. When comparing services, list the tasks you need to complete and check routes, devices and data against them instead of reducing every need to a vague impression of speed.
